HyosungKorider.com stickers are availiable now!  ESP of EastWest Extreme did a great job creating the logo and now he made stickers!  He has generously offered to donate the proceeds to Korider.com.  I will be sure to use the cash to improve the site.  We need to move to new and bigger hosting soon.  But whatever, buy them because they are so cool...

Check the following post for more details on price and how to order...

The next issue of Outcast Cycles Magazine will be released March 3.  See Press Release from Korider.com member AmishCrackDealer below.

Press Release – February 23, 2009:

Outcast Cycles Magazine is pleased to announce the upcoming release of issue 2! We have gone to great lengths to provide even more feature stories, feature bikes, and even suppliers!

Our newest issue will be released on March 3, 2009. It is nearly twice the size of the previous issue and now features a new user interface! Simply load the disc in your computer and it will open up on it’s own in your default web browser.  From the index page you can choose to read the current issue, hyperlink to any of the advertisers, or submit your stories and bikes for publication! You can even send us an email to let us know what you think of the new format.

Mac OS X and Linux users may need to open a “Read Me” file if the disc doesn’t open on its own.

Windows Vista users will be prompted to run a batch file. Click to allow the batch file to run to get to the magazine. The batch file simply opens the magazine on the appropriate start page to give you the best experience.

As always, the price is a simple $5 (USD) via PayPal for any current or past issue, and only $30 (USD) for a 6-issue subscription.

We hope you enjoy the newest issue of Outcast Cycles Magazine and hope that the improvements enhance your experience. Don’t forget to send us stories and articles about bikes you’re building, riding, and enjoying as well as stories about places you go or people you’ve met. If we use your stories as feature material – you receive a free copy of that issue!

Thanks for everyone’s support and encouragement.

Sincerely,

“Amish”

HyosungItaljet Griffon 650Diamo put out a press release today to confirm publicly the news we reported in November ’06 that Diamo will import Italjet scooters and the Griffon Motorcycle which is based on the Hyosung GT650 chassis and engine.  There is no mention in the press release that Hyosung builds the Griffon for Italjet.

I found an interview with Diamo USA president Mathu Solo. Solo mentions that “The Griffon 650 motorcycle could possibly be build at Hyosung in Korea”.  This is a very confusing statement.  I think it most likely will be built in Korea unless Hyosung plans to open a facility in another country.  Unless of course they let Italjet build them.  I am not sure there would be any advantage to this.

Comment on this story.

Korider member automattic posted in the korider Italjet forum that Diamo usa will be importing Italjet's Grifon to the United States. A prototype Grifon was displayed at Milan in 2005 and was basically a Hyosung GT650 with upgraded wheels, body work and other visual enhancements including some beautiful spoked wheels. There is no official confirmation yet that the Diamo will import the Grifon.

Italjet''s press page gives some clues that the bike will in fact stick with the Hyosung platform for the production model. I will post more details as they become available.
