Carb to Airbox + on GV125 Twin
« on: September 10, 2009, 03:36:03 PM »

Ok, I've had the carbs and airbox out of my bike because the airbox didn't seem to reach the carbs.
Is there some sort of rubber "thingy" that fits between the carbs and airbox?
Also, It came out easy enough with slight curse and mutterings but will it go back???? NAH !!!!

HELP ME PLEASE ! ! ! ! !

Been here before and had comedians answer but now I am seriously throwing teddy outa the pram ! ! !

Thanks.

Factory tip from Korea on the fitting the GV 125/250 air box to the filters:

Remove the three [3] engine mounting bolts so the engine will drop, install the air box first then put the carbs in place, attaching from the bottom first, with the carbs aligned in the top raise the engine and re install the three [3] engine mounting bolts.

This is how it is done on the assembly line and by all the mechanic's in Korea.
TRIED OTHER METHODS AND THIS WORKS.

Thanks Mike. Not so silly are you?
Thinking about it, yeah that would be the way to get it right. Notice I didn't say the easy way  :)

Seriously though,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,fanks

It really is easy, but helps if you have a drift punch and a large screwdriver and a friend to pry the engine up when you put the bolts back in. it is very fast once you have done it a few times.

Is it still a pig? ive been trying this method now, on and off for last 4 months, and still havent managed to get it together,
