RED

Thats about it I'm afraid - there are no paint codes.  If you find a perfect match, there are lots of people that want to know  Wink

The Metal parts of the bike are painted and can be matched at an Auto Paint Store,
The Plastic parts have the color in the plastic and you need to use a paint preparation material to paint the plastic.

Once you have the plastic covered you can use the same paint as the metal parts.

Hyo paint is mixed in-house and therefore, has no 'code' to speak of. They use a 'tint guide' to mix different proportions of paint together with varying results. My 06 titanium silver is not the same colour as an 09 titanium silver.

Several years ago some auto stores used to have a system that had a little camera and the computer matched the paint and told them the base and tints to use to get the colour. They would then make you up a spray pack of that paint.

Don't know if thats still the go, but I noticed all the major paint manufacturers have such systems in the local hardware these days.

I just got a can of Tamiya Italian Red, as the nearest I could find, to do my mirrors and screen surround. Its close but not perfect.

Hi. I have just replaced the fuel tank on my bike which i had to get sprayed. I took off the small triangle shape fairing infill panel (near front indicator) and gave it to my painter and he got it matched perfectly. Any good paint mixer/supplier can match it if you have a panel to match it with.

It's not red but I was looking through the latest tool catalog at work today and I noticed this for those of us with Mango Orange (nee yellow).......

http://www.summitracing.com/search/?keyword=mango&dds=1

The color in the catalog looks very close to what's on my '08 GT250R.

Since it's a pearl paint, I would imagine it's as close as anything else that's available off the shelf.

Here's a side by side comparison of the paint I mentioned in the previous post. I held up a piece of my fairing beside a painted sample. The pearl effect isn't visible in the pics, but it's similar. as you can see, it's slightly lighter.
