of a visual mod. This comes from the busa scene, and is relatively easy to do once the cover is removed. Flatten the edges, circular saw, drill/tap lexan, paint the edges, epoxy, and install.
No, not talking about the girl; but she is single

Unfortunately won't work on a 650, as there are oilways in the cover...

Tank grips are from stompgrip.
Its a regular mod that can be found all over extremebusa.com; I'd post the thread but requires an account activation. Basically very straight forward mod of cutting the whole, resealing w epoxy. Only thing that takes time is drilling, tapping and painting the lexan cover to look nicer and cover up the epoxy.
If I can ever park it long enough to do the mod I will do it; wont take long and I'll document it. I just need to stop riding the bike; likely wait till the end of track season after we finish one of the other bikes to ride the streets with.

Waited long enough. Not going to ride anymore track this year.
I went to a local hardware store, picked up two small pieces of Lexan, black steel 8/32" x 1" bolts and a tap.
Instead of using epoxy, Im going to attempt to use an oversized o-ring seal for the oilfilter caps off BMWs for a cleaner look.
The mod starts Friday afterwork. I do have the gaskets for reinstalling the clutch cover, new filter and oil to complete the modification cleanly.

Cosmetically, going to clean up the lexan edge w a door edge protector(black) tomorrow. But for now, here's what I have. No, it doesnt leak. I've had 500miles on it since the mod. Used a fuel pump gasket off a BMW. The hole cut was actually enlarged. Tapped the case so the bolts secured w/o nuts and can be removed at any time.
Trips people out because it spins the opposite direction as the wheel; after pulling in the clutch it slows down and even stops. We thought about inodizing the carrier holder yellow
