My Rear Hugger for GT650R 2006 model.
« on: August 30, 2006, 11:05:21 AM »

yesturday and today I installed and modified a 2005 hugger to fit a 2006.

The hugger was made by RedFox
http://www.red-fox.com/

I had to make two new holes in the front of it to bolt it down where the old mud flap used to sit. As when i road around it flapped and made a hell of a noise over 60km/hr. Now it's bolted, no problems.

I had to rotate the brake line clip 180 degree's as there is a whole made for the edge to go down inside the swing arm. It sits away from the tyre so no problems there

I had to drill a whole for the front bolt on the chain gaurd as the old hole was further forward.

The scratches and peeling bits u can see in some pics is only the protective clear coating you peel off after instalation.

It cost just over $212 AUS to get it here from England. I think it was 89 english pounds to buy and courier over.

Charles, the guy who runs it is nothing but a gentleman and has done every he could to help me in the process. I have kind of been their guinea pig for the GT650R hugger and I can not thank them enough, I think it looks awesome!!!

I might also buy a red one so I can swap when i want more colour or more black.. haha!!!

I bought the carbon fibre look alike. It looks good, but my carebon fibre yoshi kinda makes it look really fake... oh well!!!

Any chance of posting up a sound recording of what the mufflers sound like on the Hyo?

+1   I'd love to hear what a Yoshimura pipe can sounds like. Thinking of getting one for my future GT250R.
