Nor can most non-Koreans, eg Aussies, US, Europeans, etc. Even the dealers can't say it properly.

I was informed by a Korean that a lot of Korean words have a HY at the start and we westerners always get it wrong when we try to pronounce it as two syllables. I'll try to write it as best as I can the way it was explained to me.

The H is just an ordinary H "huh" sound but is joined to the Y which makes an ordinary Y "yuh" sound.
Just like english so far, but one syllable not two and you join them together with the next part to make a fast one syllable sound.
The O makes an "Oh" sound, join that to the Y for "yo". Like the yo in urban speak Yo Bro! (hi there friend).
Put the huh in front but make the emphasis on the yo and make it all one syllable, not two syllables like "huh-yo", but   exhale as you say the one syllable "huhyo".

Next we add the sung which sounds just like you would expect, "sung" as in past tense of sing.

So the full name is two syllables "huhyo-sung".
Not Huh-yo-sung" or Hi-oh-sung".

And in case you were wondering about those Korean cars "Hyundai", same thing.
First syllable "huhyun" (a fast huh), second syllable sounds as "day" not die.
Not three syllables "huh-yun-day" or "hi-yun-day" or "he-yun-die" but two syllables "huhyun-day".

I had three Tiburons   8) also....did a little tinkering with them back in the day...sticking with Korean.

Saw my first Hyosung GV outside Gold's Gym....fell in love with the V-rod look.  when I found the 30th Ann. i fell head over heels...I was born in Korea in '78 also, it was meant to be

Been in San Antonio for just over a year now. Have a 2012 GT650r and ride around a bit when the weather is nice.
