Updates with the Lucky Strike Hyosung
« on: July 23, 2011, 08:50:47 PM »

A few more updates today, still no sign of the exhaust system yet so i got stuck in with a complete rebuild of my calipers.
Both the front and back where showing signs of seizing, the rear was completely stuck (i never use my rear brake) and the front was abit tight...

Anyhow i removed everything from them and gave them a good cleaning with some brake cleaner, then masked and painted them gold, then put them back together with plenty of copper slip grease on the pistons.

The rear pistons where completely shot, so had to work away at cleaning them up!.

Pics...

Got stuck in with the rim tape again, changed it from red and white to gold and white.

A better pic of the Preload adjusters, i had matching gold cnc lever but they are being milled down to fit.

Painted my paddock stands in matching gold too, i had some spare time and they had started to go abit pink lol

And some pics of the bike all put back together (minus exhaust)

That is looking absolutely awesome buddy  8) 8) 8)

If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion  ;) I reckon a nice set of flush mount indicators up front would look mint

( maybe a little biased here  :D :D )

I agree baz, those flush mounts are cool but I can't justify the price! They are a rip off for what they are lol.
I have integrated led mirrors, so I will replace the big front indicators with little LEDs and have done with it!
Still got loads of plans for the bike when I have the money!
Thanks for comments guys!

You have done a really great work on your bike, i like the golden caliper and preloaded adjuster, it will makes your bike looks good, and the Lucky Strike sticker is looking fantastic, its too stylish and attractive bike, i like it very much, thanks for sharing.

Hey Ad
got the same led mirrors and led blinkers for the front  end!
how did you get on with the mirrors! I had to space the bolts out as they were made to bolt in from the back,

I take it you drilled an extra hole for the wiring! to come through the fairing

Yeh they weren't exactly a direct fit. Had to bodge them abit to get them on!
I removed a screen bolt and popped the wires through that, didn't want to drill the fairings!
Still need some resistors!
