leeway is a tolerance. like saying your not required to have it spot on because you have a tolerance of + or - 10%.
Quick question, how many Km's did you have on those old tires? and how did you get it down to the wire in just that thin line? burnouts?

what the hell kind of tires are you running? I'm at almost 18,000 and I still have enough tread to go a few more. Are you guys redlining everywhere you go?

redlining has nothing to do with tyre tread  ???

I use mine everyday, 60Km to work and back + weekend rides for Novice Riders.

Yea, I use mine everyday to work and back, 140 kms per day, 5 days a week in every type of weather you can imagine. That doesn't have anything to do with tread either. I say redline because that will put more stress on the tire causing it to wear faster.

pah, wrong... if you are dropping the clutch and accelerating fast it will put stress on the tyres, corners will do it too, also riding really fast 150kmph+ (drag from wind being the main cause)... simply red lining it will not put any extra stress on the tyres.. simple physics?

pretty sure in Australia it is spelt 'tyres'?

pretty sure i don't care how things are spelled in Australia, I spell things the correct way. look it up in the dictionary and tell me if you find "Tyre" with the definition of "rubber around a rim" then look up "tire". and before you even say it, Yes, Tire can also mean: "I tire of this conversation". words can be spelled the same and have different meanings.
