Motorcycle of choice
« on: March 03, 2012, 04:58:55 AM »

So if you were to deviate away from the hyo brand, What other bike would you get?
this could be any bike of your liking, except Hyo (sense we already have hyo's (well most of us))

For my choice I am torn between 2 bikes.
Ducati Monster 796- http://www.ultimatemotorcycling.com/2012-ducati-monster-796-preview
other web link- http://www.ducati.com/bikes/monster/796/index.do
and/or
MV Agusta Brutale 920- http://www.ultimatemotorcycling.com/2011-mv-agusta-brutale-920-first-ride
other web link- http://www.mvagusta.it/en/brutale/brutale

both Italian, and both are majestic pieces of art.  ;D

Test rode the whole Ducati line quite a few times. Other than my Hyo having a heavy frame and wheels, it easily competes with the base monster. Brakes and center of gravity on a Duc easily out performs the Hyo. But raw power isn't up to my standard. The day I Dyno'd my Comet at Ducati of Seattle and saw it put out the exact same power figure and a better power curve then the 696 Monster, I got a lot less drooly over a Duc. My favorite Duc's are the Monster 1100S and Hypermotard, I'd take a Multistrada any day.

I like the CBR600RR,  Daytona 675 or an MV Agusta F3. But they aren't on my list of next bikes.

Right now it's either going to be a Brutale 675 or Street Triple R that will be sharing the garage with the Comet.

Mine would be between a street triple R, Ducati street fighter or a super duke. Actually speed triple and RC8 would probably be in there too.

Haha, I love it Alantris, that's my feeling on it too. I've been drooling over a Street Triple R for awhile not. But now that MV Agusta has the Brutale coming out and the new pics of the new Street Triple R are out, I really don't like the looks. The old headlights are what made it. The new ones look like someone tore a RR bike apart... I was never a fan of that look.
