CF Moto 650NK - Thoughts?
« on: May 15, 2012, 06:49:12 PM »

650cc parallel twin from CF Moto. Already available in Australia and China. Supposedly coming State-side within the year. Any one seen one/ride one/hear about one? Very interesting bike. Looks like a Kawasaki er-6n and a KTM Duke. I think it looks ****ing gorgeous. If this comes to the US, Hyosung might have something to worry about. I've said this before and I will say it again: Hyosung may be one of the only "other" brands that gets attention in the US but the second another one shows up with better bikes and better business sense, they're going to have a BIG problem.

The owner of a dealer here in Michigan confirmed that we will see the 650NK in the USA in late summer 2012.  ;D

Just a technical point.. its a Parallel twin, not a V-Twin :)

Much like a Kawasaki ER6 / 650R engine.

It does look a lot like an ER6-n :) Which isn't a bad looking bike at all

That's probably why the motounion site says...

Closely inspired by Japanese machinery you will find most service components that fit the equivilent japanese bike will fit the CF Moto WK650N also. However all WK dealers nationally will offer a full original parts backup for service so finding original/aftermarket spares/service parts or accessories for this motorcycle will not be a problem.

Really curious to see what the pricing will look like here in the US. I assume they'll put it on par with the Hyos to compete directly with them.

just as big as the Hyo, maybe same price?
but less HP, and top MPH. Not to inspiring.
If people get these types of bikes for a 650 people are wanting the power and speed i would think. and frankly a base hyo650gt has more hp and a higher top speed. back when my hyo was stock i got it up to 120mph.
but gorgeous looking bike.
