Selling the old girl
« on: February 18, 2013, 03:18:22 AM »

Well, i am about to get my bike back in a few weeks with a new engine. I am going to sell it, i am just not sure how yet. In fact, i will also be selling my jeep cherokee and might be buying the bike i wanted from the beginning... a buell xb12r. Anyways, i also go new plastics for my damaged side, so with a small amount of body work and paint this bike will be better than new :-)

Man, I haven't been on here in forever! I'm in Clarksville tn, near Nashville, and I am looking for 8k. New engine, and replacement plastics. I should have it back from the shop in a month. The MSRP was like 12500 I believe for the sp model.

Didn't know you're in Clarksville; I'm an hour south of Memphis--maybe we should ride.

New engine?  Why?  (And is it carb'ed or EFI?)  Who's doing your service?  Was it a Hyo shop?  (I can't imagine Fischer actually servicing this...)

I'm interested in the 'replacement plastic', because I thought you had the carbon fiber body kit...

As for me--I'm keeping mine.  I'm stupid loyal like that--even to a fault.

The whole "but it's carb'ed and that's bad" argument is lost on me.  I've got two bikes-- Suzuki (EFI) and this Fischer (carb).  They're different, but I'd never say the EFI is better.  I actually prefer the analog "feel" of the carb.

i've got an 08 GT carbed and an 09 GV EFI... the GV makes smoother power and i like not having to fiddle with a choke or worry about jetting after i change and air filter...

Update:  Beachmaster has sold his Fischer.  Perhaps the best example of a Fischer MRX out there, it was black with all the options.  An exceptional bike, by all accounts.  The new owner doesn't have a clue what he has...
