Recently acquired a new motor bc the last one killed its self, heads up gv250 and gt250 - exact same motor, both gv250 stamped on em.

But to my question, is there a trick for getting the air box carbs and boots installed?

I spent 3 hrs trying every order of install, even tried taking the mounting bolts out to see if I could get more clearance. Help!

Do you have the fuel tank off ?..what is not working ?

does the ID number of your old carbs match the id number of the new ones ?...or the replacement engine did not come with carbs ??

Id number? It's an 08 frame carbs etc with 09 motor. The carb fits, the boot fits its just I'm having a difficult time squeezing it all in there. The carbs fit on the engine with the boots, the carbs boots and air box all fit together off the engine.

Have you taken off the Throttle cable bracket from the carbs before trying to install them.

see if the throttle cable bracket is causing things to "hang up"

Took awhile but I got it on. Trick was have the air box in the frame, boots attached to carbs then you have shimmy/rotate the carbs in. Leave the pipe clamps loose so it all wiggles a bit.
