mine is a 2006 year GT650n, only done 10.600km.

I bought mine start of this year, it was on 6900kms when i bought it. It has been sitting most of its life sadly, but now its happy and running nearly every day.

i usually cruise around 110-130km/h, often kept between 7000-8500 rpm on long highways. thats the acceptable speed i usualy go. never ever did reached the red line neither reached 150km/h.  probably thats the reason for its longativity.  oh yeah n i always keep track maintaining semi syn or fully syn oil.

Gaban84 - what a breath of fresh air - a high mileage, reliable bike!  I hope mine turns out like yours!!

I underestimated my mileage earlier, but still only 3150miles/5000km so just a young one.  I am not a racer either, I think the red line is just a colour on the dial, I never get near it, and although I'm happy to 'hit the ton' (160km/hr) if necessary, I suspect I'm more like yourself, cruising happily along at 80mph.

Many more happy miles to us all!

My First Bike was 2011 GT250 R.  I have done 30.000km in 2.5 years then sold to one of  my friend. its now 40.000km running like a new bike.
2. Bike  2008 GT 650. Bought second hand show 15000 on the odometer. I have done about 20.000 and sold it over 350000km
3. Bike  2006 GT 650 (sold as new at 2010).Bought second hand  odometers show only 3400km.
I have done 15.000km in 6 months. I just came from a long trip that 4200km in 9 days around the country.
 Now odometer reached to 20.000km.

I hope this bike will easily over 250.000km.
Allways using full synthetic  Motul 7100 oil which is really important to prevent the first start damage.

its an amazing bike indeed. as long as we keep track of our respective synthetic lubricants, it should last quite long.

I also use Motul 7100 10W40 changed every 5k Kms. Love Motul lubricants. Chain lube and fork oil on my bike are also Motul.

I find that the bike starts to shift less smoothly when the oil gets above 4000kms old and by 5,000 I can feel that it is distinctly notchy. This may be a result of using an aftermarket EBC Kevlar clutch however.

I hope my bike serves me as well as the service you guys have seen from your bikes.
