The 125 sounds meatier than the 650.

The 650 sounds like it's.. unbalanced?

Carbs are really not my thing, but it sounds to me like one cylinder is absent and you have a V1. Throttle body synch maybe?

Compression test might also be wise, just to make sure it's not that horrible valve touching the piston issue that the early 650s are notorious for.

Pretty sure it's that horrible thing.
Front cylinder is not firing at all, the rear exhaust gets super hot but the front stays cold.

Leaning more towards breaking. At this stage I haven't got much for time or money to mend it and sell it as a working bike.

If your breaking can I have dibs on your tank ;) obviously I don't want you to break it as it'll be another hyo off the uk roads,but......... That tank would make my bike a happy one  ;D
