Hello folks, I am Lan Dugong from Klang, Malaysia
« on: November 16, 2014, 01:39:58 AM »

Hello fellow Hyosung bikers,
i am from Malaysia...Klang to be exact. Am 42 this year, old biker... ;D joined this forum back in March 2014, didn't own a Hyosung at that time. My previous bike was a kawasaki Z250, it was my 1st hand clutched bike. Bought it to learn n understand the handling of big bike. Later decided to upgrade as i love to travel & join convoys with fellow friends, easier to catch up with the convoy group.

Bought a used 2010 GT650, the last year model of carb here. never regretted the purchase, the bike is good & the seats are comfortable, my wife doesn't complain anymore when she followed me riding. the previous owner changed the exhaust to IXIL Screaming Demon shorty, he told me he had his sister bought it from Australia when his sister went for holiday, rear fenderless, installed XJ6n replica headlights, adjustable brake/clutch lever, protaper gripper, lowered down the front by 2".

Later, i had to lowered down the the bike as i am 164cm height ;D(changed the dogbone from 11cm std to 11.5cm).i changed the tail light to the R6 2003-2007 integrated LED tail light, rear LED signals,a 3rd LED brake light, custommed rear splash guard. 2 months ago, converted the front facelift to GTR with half side fairing, got a used fairing with a good price from one of the bikers here that wanted to convert his gt650r to naked. i wanted to feel the riding conditions with fairings, maintained the naked handle. well, the differences are obvious, i enjoyed more with fairings. changed a set of Flyquick rear view mirror. the projector headlights gives me a little headache, am currently troubleshooting on how to make the lights brighter n safer to ride during night.

the bike is my daily ride to work about a hundred kilos to and fro.

Hello!

My very basic knowledge of Chinese says Lan means either blue or lazy. Dugong means supervisor. Interesting!! Lazy supervisor.

Maybe you have been a lurker for a while before posting an intro.  ;D Kidding by the way. You are most welcome and in fact your intro was anything but lazy.
