Cool. You should check out Hylife's awesome spotlight thread. You now have a charging system that will support them!

My Mosfet RR came today.

So I swapped it out, went for a ride and no red light for the first time in ages!

Hopefully that's the end of that little saga.

Thanks hylife and umop-ǝpisdn for your help!

hydrax, do you mind just throwing a quick link to the exact parts you need?  Currently my 2010 GV650 is having those idle/off idle throttle issues coupled with the FI flashing.  The regulator died a year or so ago, and a shop replaced it with a used GT250 regulator they had lying around.  So thats what I'm currently running.  Thanks!

No worries I got it off this site

http://roadstercycle.com/

Near the bottom of the package there is 'HYOSUNG LEAD LINK PACKAGE' with RR included, thats what I have.

I also ran extra wires from the RR to the battery because the stock wiring is too thin and can burn out.

Hey guys, thought i'd give this thread a bump instead of making another as it seems to be covered a few times and fewer pages to read and cleaner.

I have a 2010 GT650R efi and seems to have the same lack of spark/power... I just brought it and so far replaced coils leads and plugs from a ninja 250, spark plugs and gapped to .07. Tested battery voltage - showing 12.5v off - 12.5v on - 12.5 revving over 5k.
Symptoms:
Lack of power all through rev range
Will randomly kick in for a split second on both cylinders or better spark.
Feels like it's not getting enough spark to front cylinder
This is my first bike and got it for a steal so Im happy to spend some dollars but also want to learn as I go

Ok so my question to everyone is can I do this wiring upgrade and replace the Stratford with the 2013 CBR500 to my 2010 GT650R if my tests on these wires from the RR are crappy?

Stator you mean? If so, probably not.

An equivalent is a 90s era Kawasaki EX500.

Sorry I did mean stator.
So for my model I can use the EX500 stator and what about the RR? Would this also be suitable or is the mofset one also suitable for the 2010 GT650R?
