« on: July 21, 2016, 04:54:33 PM »

Is there a difference in the GT and GV ECU's?
Has anyone tried this.

Same, except for ST700 I think.

Make sure that the coils match the ECU. i.e. if it's a Delphi ECU, make sure the coils are from a bike of the same era.

Delphi era coil:

Daewoo era coil:

The you're talking about a CDI.

..about that, I have no idea. Guessing that it's same/same, but check one of the parts websites and see if the part numbers differ?

Is there any notable benefit swapping ecu's from Daewoo to Delphi?
Obviously there will need to be some changes made, but is it primarily a plug n play type scenario?

Definitely not plug and play. All the ECU plugs on the wiring loom are different, so too are the coils.

If there is no real bebefit then bugger rewiring the whole bike to do it lol..
I just finished stripping back the harness to rewire and duplicate power wire to the battery... that was enough buggering around for me lol
