hyosung gt 125 r fuel issues
« on: August 09, 2016, 06:31:51 PM »

hi I recently purchased a gt 125 r and have been bugged with fuel issues the engine would lack in power whilst accelerating and every so often stall whilst driving along and take about 10 mins to restart.
I have v taken the fuel tank off today to have a look and this is what I have found 2 pipes which don't connect to anything  :o
the one to the left and the one in the middle of the carburettor.
if they belong somewhere where do they go to thanks

The one on the left is an overflow syphon. They just go anywhere.
I should know the other one. But clearly my bike has been so reliable for so long, I've forgotten how to mechanic.

The pipe off the fuel bowls is a fuel drain, it needs a little piece of rubber pipe adding too it which extends it so you don't drain your carbs onto your hot engine :).

The second pipe is a float overflow pipe. Your missing the link off the other side of the carb. This also needs extending for the same reason as above. See what it looks like below:

on another note I found chunks of silicone rubber in the fuel inlet by the :o manifolds 1 side was completely blocked up so that might be the cause of my problems.
i just need to know where this pipe above goes and then I will try it again   ???

Inlet manifold. Its a vacuum pipe. One feed off you inlet for petcock, the other for that AIS.

Also, if thats your choke cable/throttle cable I'd replace it when you can. That split will rust the cable solid and catch you when you least expect it. Until then, lash it with oil in the split and down both ends of cable (ideally take it off and drip oil down it overnight).

Yeah the AIS kit. It goes to the nipple on your inlet manifold.
