Fisher owners
« on: March 18, 2017, 07:53:40 AM »

Still not one reply from a Fisher owner. Not sure why but that's ok. Highly unlikely that I'll ever be able to go for a ride with another owner here in Australia. Keep to yourselves then, no skin off my nose.

Another fine example of attitude on this forum the past few days. Nobody replies so I must spit my dummy out.

I'm pretty sure you got a response that there were a handfull (if that) known in Australia. Of that handful do you expect that all of them would be on this forum? If you wanted biker pals of the same manufacturer then buy a bike off a more well known manufacturer that hasnt ceased production.

i would disagree with that. the whole point of forums is that we can all share any knowledge we have of our machines. Yes there are a whopping 36 or so owners, but this site is the only organised thing that comes up when you search for fischer forums other than the fb page

i would disagree with that.

With what?

Where have I stated what a forum should be used for and that people shouldnt be sharing knowledge? Just because this site is the only thing that comes up does not mean that you have to register and post as an active member just because you own this bike. Complaining that you did not receive any reply (when he did) on a forum (not dedicated to fischer motorcycles) with a small section to a small niche bike is just plain crazy.

I too wish there were more Fischer owners on here.

Would love to see one used in anger.

the part about needing to buy a common brand to have conversations about it. hell we'd likely have a higher percentage of enthusiasts among current fischer owners than any other brand. half the harley guys i know don't even care about anything other than the bar.

My point was not so much about the forum but about buying a bike knowing there are only a few in existence as opposed to buying something like a Honda which the bloke 3 doors down has one, and 3 doors down from him. Nothing to do with a forum, you can actually meet these people are ride with them, like the OP wanted to do in the first place.

Although, saying that, I own a Honda and have not spoken to the bloke who actually lives 3 doors down with one *facepalm*.

Did someone say bar?
