So many advices, I'm sure there will be some
Of it I will be able to use, and hopefully soon I will figure out how to get it all connected.
By the way, have any of you converted into chain or are you still using the belt drive ??

Now I've tried to connect the RPM to many different places, and it still doesn't work 🤔

I just fiddled around with a battery and a 12v charger, and now I finally saw the needle jump a little, so now I finally figured out what I need to do, now I just need to figure out where to place the wires 😅

as with most electronics, if the polarity is hooked up wrong or a constant voltage instead of a signal pulse.... things can break :(

not saying you have, but if wired in correctly and it doesnt work, somethings wrong. cant help from here im afraid. find a buddy thats good with wiring in auto electrics

Sorry, didn't see your message, but I actually think you are on to something there, I've decided to work backwards on the tach, perhaps that will be the solution after all ;)

Hey there buddy, Ive just purchased one of those speedos and installed it on my Comet gt250R, I got pretty much everything to work.....except for the Tach. I found my RPM signal wire from the loom, but it didnt work. Did you ever figure out how to get the Tach to work?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hey there :)
Well it sound just like my story, but sadly no, I still haven't been able to make it work, I thought at one point it perhaps was broken, but I fiddled with a 12v charger and another Mc battery and managed to get a signal, but that have not happened on my hyo yet.

after reading up on these, there is a few suggestions: use the pickup coils from the crank as source of signal, or some say wrap a wire around the sparkplug HT cable and use that as source for the clocks..

one reference is this instalation guide for a KOSO unit
