Its starting to shit me off.
« on: April 18, 2017, 04:45:50 AM »

Beautiful 2010 GV 250, been running like a dream. Now red efi light is on, neutral light flickers no matter what gear Im in and its a bitch to get into first and neutral, even by rocking it in gear or driving a few feet forward. All gears work when Im moving up and down the box.

Any ideas.

Diificult neutral can sometimes be the cable needing adjustment - it needs to be adjusted quite exactly, and there is info on this forum about making that adjustment.  Do a search and it should turn up.

However, sounds like your problem might be more mechanical, and I'll leave others to comment on that possibility, as I have no experience of the Hyo gearbox.....sorry.

I've never had a Hyosung gearbox that'll consistently slot neutral, even though I've now got all-custom internals. I just assumed it's a characteristic.

My bike has been awesome since fitting an EBC clutch, even before I switched to hydraulic clutch activation.

I can always find neutral and I hardly ever miss gears.

I must admit I never had a problem since fitting new clutch either but I did the service at the same time so I cannot say 100% it was the clutch, it could of been just putting fresh oil in.

Yes, the EBC Kevlar clutch was so good on a 650 ... but I searched, and there's no fancy clutches for 250.
Has anyone found a new brand of 250 clutch yet?
And yes, finding Neutral usually just needs adjustment to the cable - wind the handlebar end back to the end, then start adjusting the gearbox end of the cable, once it is sort of working, get more specific adjusting the handlebar end.

I have a GT250 clutch in a GT125. Gecko brand. Works well. Neutral still elusive.
