« on: May 18, 2017, 02:43:31 AM »

Hi to ALl
Hope you're doing well. I bought a 2005 Hyosung SF50 and When i start it with the Crink ( not the starter button). the engine stays started during 2  to 5 minutes and it stops. and when i start the engine again, it stays started less than 2 minutes etc.
ANy suggestions please ? The gaz and Oil are fully loaded.

Have you checked the spark plug for fouling?

Does it die out faster if you hold it at higher revs?

That's alright =D I'm not being hugely helpful, I'm just trying to diagnose. It's been a while since I've had a two-stroke machine.

I'm trying to work out if your problems are related to heat, or to fuel. It might be that the float levels in the carb are set too low, and it's drinking fuel faster than the carb can supply it. Or it could be an electrical component getting hot, and creating resistance enough to stop the spark.

Have you tried running it with the petrol tank cap off? If it still dies out with the cap off, we can at least rule out vacuum effect in the fuel tank.

Thanks. I didn't ty this yet because of the bad weather.
But i have another symptoms that could maybe help you to understand more what's going on.
whan i start the engine. it stays started with a noise like the engine wants to stop ( low level or whatever...). and as soon as I touch the speed-up to move, the engine stops immediatly. what do you think ?

Hi
I did the test you told. Same result. What do you think ? It might be the gas filter or carburetor ?
Please let me know

Sounds like the carb. Could also be fuel filter.
