Duel brake issues/caliper issues
« on: July 09, 2017, 01:03:37 PM »

Done a twin disc conversion, custom stainless lines (2 separate), double banjo, new caliper seals (one side), aftermarket master cylinder/levers.

Issue is now I've bled it and back bled it, no air in system, but no pressure on lever, not even trying to move calipers/pistons, just recirculates fluid in reservoir. I did re strip both calipers and found I needed new seals. Once these were in, I had hope, but same issue. The pistons went in quite easy with new seals in but other side was very hard to get pistons in, so wondering if that's the issue or if maybe the master cylinder (new) piston is no good.

All new crush washers were fitted, and system bled and back bled using big syringe, but no pressure and no movement of calipers when operating lever.

Any ideas????

I've ordered another seal kit for other side.

I have nearly the same issue. I fitted new caliper so but now I have no pressure on the leavers at all. Changed front and back  calipers but now no pressure.

Yeah you can't run two calipers from the master cylinder designed to run only one.

Master cylinder and brake lever from a Bandit 600 is about 9 because there's approximately a quintillion of them for sale in used, new, and aftermarket, they'll bolt right on, and do the bizzle for driving the calipers.

Ok cool. But the rear isn't doing only thing either so have I done something wrong? I have got all air out the system on the rear but still no pressure

There's only two choices. Air or leak. Hydraulic pressure is not complex. It's going somewhere.

Have you checked the master cylinder to see if the piston might possibly be jammed? The rear MC is famous for doing that.
