Not taking the piss:

The Hongda is probably made primarily for the Chinese market.

The Chinese have no idea what a Honda is. To them it's bentian, which has no translation per-say, it's a family name, as it is in Japanese. The Japanese way of writing Honda uses Chinese letters, so the Chinese simply pronounce the name, as they would reading those letters. The name translates well and is deemed lucky. Honda enjoys huge market success in China.

Hongda might translate as Big Red. ..like the tomato sauce. Hong being red, Da being large. To us, it seems like a name rip. To them it's like "Who the F is Honda?".

But what about the rest of the world? What rest of the world? The percentage of Hongda's that leave China can be ignored. It's less than the percentage of Hyos with a working reg/rec. ;D ;D <-- ok, so maybe I am taking the piss a little. Using an analogy of course.

I think I may be tempted with a Karion tbh - if I can get one at the right price. May be fun for green laning.
