shocks
« on: December 13, 2017, 10:58:42 PM »

rear shocks... As we all know the hyo shocks suck. Is it the shock or the spring that is the crappy part?

I've added 2 bandit 400 rear shocks to my original GV and it was just too much. super stiff.
I had the thought of using a better shock but using the GV springs.

This is all just a thought I haven't really put much more thought into it.

As I understand it, it's the damper, not so much the spring.

I like the new KYB shock on my GT650R, they were very soft when I first got the bike, but after adjusting the preload it's quite nice, I've got one installed on my GT650 as well and it is quite the improvement, the old shock was pretty much sitting on a wooden bench!

I've got a late model shocker on a 2007 track bike and it seems to do the job. It was cheap:-)

I was referring to the rear shocks mainly. Was more of a thought for the GV

I also was referring to the rear shock, I forgot that the GV has different shocks, sorry!

I put a GT650 shock on a GT125R and it was great for a couple of years!
