Should I........
« on: January 23, 2018, 09:33:34 PM »

......Stick one of these on me bike?
I don't dislike the sound of the original can, so would this be an improvement or not?

Well?

C'mon you lot - anyone fitted one of these?

I have head an ixil on a past forum member's bike before and it was the best sounding exhaust I had heard.

Sounded better than my 2bros and not as loud. It's a tighter sound. Less rattley. Definitely a well made, high quality product.

Mine was leaking as the adapter needed room for the bolts and air would get out of there, but my mechanic fixed that with a bunch of silicone. I personally love it on my bike, I don't know if it would sound different on a GV. Mine's carbon fiber though.

Had you posted on the GT section I would have said go for it, BUT, as you posted on the GV section I've got to ask the question,
"Why do you want to make a nice lub-dub-lub-dub cruiser sound like a ning-ning-ning-ning sport bike by sticking on a sh!tty short can?"

Good point. I've not heard one on a GV, but if I'm gonna lose that sound then I won't bother.
I thought the sound may have been similar, but a bit nicer if that makes sense?

I still reckon you should.

AIS block off will stop all the popping and flaming.
