Need anwser ASAP GT 250 -- 650 Rear Shock question
« on: January 29, 2018, 06:36:21 PM »

Hello guys! I have a 2004 GT250, my rear shock absorber has broken. One member of the "local Hyo community" told me he has an absorber from a GT650.

The question is the next: Can i fit the 650's rear shock to my bike ? (GT250 2004)

And yeah i know it will be stiffer. And maybe made the biker taller one or two cm. (The stock one for the 250 is way too soft even in the biggest teeth. Im around 154 Lbs -> ~70Kg)

If im correct there were some topic where the owner could fit it. But before i buy that, i would like to know that totally sure.

Thank you !  :)

Yes.

You're completely correct, it makes the bike stiffer and taller.
It is pretty easy to fit, a bolt-in with no modifications, alterations, or custom parts needed.

Thank you soo much! Then tomorrow i will buy it! (I dont affraid to swap it, i just dont want to change nothing else than the shock, i read that some GSXR shock need some further modification.)
The stock one of the bike was a bit too soft for me even at the fifth option. I think this will be the right choice for me. (I ride a bit aggrersive, there are some pretty good road here at the near hills.  :) )

Thank you again the fast reply!
