Fuel Economy
« on: February 12, 2018, 07:41:23 AM »

So wondering what people are getting on their 650's.

At the moment i seem to average 14L/250km's, in theory i could push 17L(tank empty)/300km's.
Workouts out to be 5.6L/100km's.
Still half the fuel usage than my ute.

Much the same as you LX_SS.

I also can't seem to get more than 14L per tank fill.

I'm pretty sure i could get 17L in the tank, i just haven't taken it that far.
I know with 14L, i have 1 little bar left on the fuel gauge, and depending up hill/ down hill sometimes the Fuel empty can flash.

I ride to work every day and it’s 37 kms there then back soI do 74 kms a day so 370 kms a week and I refill the tank on my way home Friday and very rarely does my fuel meter flash,so if there’s supposed to be a couple of litres left, probably do 400kms to a tank and this is peak time traffic in Brisbane

I don't get anywhere near those numbers.

On a 12.8L fill, I get 220kms and the light would have been blinking for about 10 kms. I have tried to push it further and I have run out of fuel, so when that light blinks, I know it means business. I can never seem to get much more than that in the tank without pushing the bike upright and putting in tiny amounts of fuel. Like I said the most I ever managed to squeeze in was 14L and I'm not convinced that it wasn't just going straight out of the overflow.
