Comet clocks on gtr loom
« on: February 21, 2018, 07:28:39 PM »

Hi all, building a comet with gtr front end (USD forks etc) and want to fit comet 250 clocks. My original loom was badly damaged so have aa 2016 gtr loom now. What I need to know is what changes I need to make to the gtr loom to fit the comet clocks.

I dunno about on the 125s, but on the 650s, the front part of the loom is interchangeable. It terminates at a 9 pin connector and depending on whether it's a naked or an R, they then fit the correct kind of forward part loom thingie.

Oh wow, its been so long since I did it I cant remember.

Blow up the wiring diagram to A3 and start there. The last time I did it, there is no link that DBM mentioned on the GT version however the GTR does have said link. Could of changed with later models but the wiring I have seen never had it.

Well as I have a gtr loom and a set of clocks from a 250 (with loom) hopefully it'll be a simple case of remove dash loom from gtr wiring and plug in the comet clocks, but I doubt it'll be that easy.
