not hyo related at all...
« on: April 28, 2018, 01:25:37 AM »

I bought a 99zxr 1100 that was sitting for about 5 years.
Pulled the carbs.. cleaned them and biike idles and runs like it should.
I'm Pretty F'n stoked about that!
It's very hard to get them right in one try.
Just had to tell some one since the family doesn't really get it.

i got my xv1100 cheap as, was misfiring and all sorts, took the carbs off, cleaned and repaired a few things on them. set the idle mixture screw, put it together and bam a totally different awesome bike.

Ive got a mate with a stretched springer front end for the XV if you ever feel like totally ruining it.

Albert,

I know what you mean. Imagine if you will, the joy of getting the turbo bike to idle for the first time.

I had just set them on the clocks. I'm VERY confident that they are from the auto parts store and should be on a 1970 muscle car. hahahaha

I drove the Kawi for about 20 miles yesterday(dry rotted and all)....
IT IS A HEAVY BEOTCH!!!!! but extra comfy and smooth. I'm going to enjoy it for a little while.
once I get the tires changed out i'll take it out and stretch the legs  a bit.
I  do have the side covers.. no headlight cover tho.
