Where does the SSSSS wire go?
« on: May 02, 2018, 01:09:18 PM »

I've never had a side stand safety shutoff switch on any of my Hyosung, they're always bypassed by previous owners. So I have no cable to follow back to wherever they go. On end is meant to be on the side stand, of course, but where would I locate the other end?

Top left of this pic, the black plug with the brown and black wires. View full res for a better look. It runs from that plug down the removable frame section to the switch.

Same as mine. One black wire and a brown wire with a black trace.

I think you're better off without it.

I'm guessing Cloud has her reasons.

Trust issues toward the intended rider perhaps?

Just saying  ;)
My SSSSS  could have killed me when it failed at speed recently .
That is now disconnected , forever .

It's because I think the bypass connection might be causing the misfire.

Certainly it's the first thing I want to rule out.

And, if you go far an MOT/roadworthy and they find the SSS bypassed then you get a fail!

It's passed every year for the last 6 years. Pretty sure it's not part of the test.
