Tail light not working, but brake lights are. .
« on: May 06, 2018, 03:43:51 AM »

Hey,
Just realised my tail light has stopped working, however the brake light still works fine.
Had a look and it appears to just be the single bulb at the back, so I'd assume the only difference between normal and brake lights is the voltage/current going through meaning it's likely a wiring issue ?

I also assume if it was a bad fuse then brake lights wouldn't either.

Am going to check the fittings and possibly buy a new globe anyway.
So any advice would be much appreciated

Ok nevermind. I'm a dumb dumb.
Didn't realise there was a second filament in the bulb upon first inspection. Having a closer look it's very clear the second set is completely in half.

Hence why they are reffered to as "stop and tail light bulbs". I'm sure your not the first and wont be the last, well done on sorting it yourself.
