Thanks for the help, I’ll do those checks and then hook it up the right way. Although I think that will be how I had it before when it wouldn’t start. Maybe I didn’t use enough starter fluid.

Damn I’m in Australia so that complicates things. Maybe we can work something out tomorrow?

Sure thing. Send me an email (I think I have that enabled here) and we can go from there. It's 6am here and I'm getting increasingly more drunk so my advice is to be taken with a grain of salt. There are a plethora of factors that determine if a motorcycle will run. Clogged jets, passage ways, improper float levels, inoperative fuel pump and/or inoperative vacuum petcock are just a few that I can name off my head. But that's another thread all on its own.
