Bike Does'nt start after cleaning the carb
« on: August 27, 2018, 09:53:50 AM »

Hey guys, ive ran into a problem. After cleaning my carb i cant start my Gt 125. But the thing is when I spray some of the carb cleaner into the carb it starts instantly but just for a few second. So my guess would be that maybe the carb doesnt get any fuel or something? What should I do? Any suggestions will help. Help me out guys

It does sound like the carbs are not getting fuel.

Is the float bowl stuck at the top? ..no wait, it can't be that. Both bowls would have to be stuck.

Logic says the fuel supply line is blocked, or incorrectly connected.

Have you reattached the airbox? It plays a key part in pulling fuel in to the bike, and making it in to a mist rather than a stream of liquid

They run without the airbox, the fact its firing with carb cleaner suggests hes not got a vacuum to the pump or as umop-ǝpisdn suggested, the floats are stuck shut.

Suck on the vacuum line with the fuel feed to the carbs disconnected, does it piss fuel out? That rules out a vacuum and pump stuck. Then you need to look at the carb bowls again. Uncrew the drains and see if you get any fuel out while sucking on the vacuum pipe to keep filling the carbs.
