Sticky throttle
« on: October 06, 2018, 08:59:36 AM »

Hi I have a 2012 Hyosung got 650 efi and when riding in peak traffic usually 60 or 70 Kph my throttle sometimes sticks and either I have to brake harder or blip the throttle or pull the clutch in, has anyone experienced something like this

Sounds like your cable/throttle assembly  is sticking
Take tank  off and check cable/throttle assembly .Could even be your throttle  .
Dangerous dude and you shouldn't be riding with it like that .

I'm also thinking that the throttle cables might be sticking.

Else the idle speed control solenoid or plumbing to/from it, maybe has a leak.

Go for the easy stuff first and you'll be spot on most of the time and it could even be the cable itself fooked  .
DON'T ride the bike until it's sorted (Just in case I'm on the same road) !
Do you realize how dangerous this is ?

It only happens occasionally in slow traffic, it doesn’t rev up any and it’s only been at slow speed in traffic,it shits me doesn’t worry me, I’ve been riding over 40 years but in saying that I will have it checked after the weekend by my mechanic, cheers for the advice

Didn't mean to teach you to suck eggs just sounded like a worrying situation that should be easy to fix  .
Good luck getting it done buddy  :)
