Stator problem?
« on: November 02, 2018, 01:19:02 PM »

got fi code 0562, battery voltages dropping while bike is running. tried to measure voltage from the stator and got 0 in three of them.
Is it the stator faulty?
The rectifir seems be okay, the diodes are fine.

1. Check each of the 3 yellow wires output on the stator. Should be 50-60v.
2. If you have a factory type diode style VRR it may be bad.
3. Could be bad connection between the stator and VRR. Check the wiring and connector for burnt
    wires or melted connector.
4. Do the battery direct wire as seen on this forum.

My experience was a bad regulator.

Something to note is that the stator makes AC voltage, not DC. The rectifier turns it into DC.

Make sure that you are measuring AC voltage.

How do you know the diodes are fine and how did the test diodes/regulator to see they were in fact , "fine"?

Some higher end meters have a diode test function, but it's untrustworthy in this situation, since most often the diodes in a reg/rec fail at operating temperature, not at room temp.

So the stator was fried a little bit, so I gave to someone to rewind them. Now got other problem, i dont get spark.. the engine turn over and all, tested the spark plugs and no spark.
Is it faulty pickup coil?

You should check that the plug for the pick-up coil is plugged into the correct connection.

The pick-up coil and the reg/rec output have exactly the same plugs and are easy to mix up, since they are right next to eachother.

The pickup is one blue and one green wire. Make sure it plugs into the connection with the same colour wires. The reg/rec plug is one brown and one black/white.

Welcome to Hyosung world where electrical common sense is non existent  ::)
Side note.....
Other than the electrical gremlins , the Hysoung is a VERY underrated motorcycle .
Ask LX who is going back for more  ;D
