GV250 Dies when hot
« on: November 19, 2018, 02:57:31 AM »

I know I've seen this issue on here before, but cant find the solution. I found a GV250 for stupid cheap on Craigslist. The issue is it will die when hot, but will fire right back up when it cools a bit. Anyone remember the cause/ solution? My brother is looking for a starter bike, and this would be perfect.

Could be coils. Could also be just about anything mechanical :(

Compression test when hot?

Yeah, I know it was vague for sure. If the bike were in my possession I would have tested some things. Just trying to determine if it was worth going down the rabbit hole or not.

I'd be betting on coils / plugs - don't think it would be compression tbh.

Is not compression, first download the service manua, check coils with a multimeter with the bike cold...
