ok so i pulled. the cams out of a carb sv motor and look at this... they are adjustable and the mount directly in the hyo motor.
idk lift ot any of that stuff...
there are some differences.
hyo cams are longer.  the one hole in the cam doesnt match the port fornthe oil to lub or drain into.
any way...
for u guy at really know about building engines...
what do u guys think????
the sprocket alignment is deal on.

if this works this will open up a world of options. :}

That last one where its recessed in, i wouldn't be too concerned about, there is plenty of meat that still retains the cam in the journal.
The only thing is it is possible for that journal to wear on the cam section and have a lip where the cam isnt.

Is there a center gallery on the cam like the hyo has just in a different rotated position ???

I'd be more worried about the missing centre oil gallery.

To my eye, the length is less of a concern.

Have you talked to a machine shop about the possibility of adding a cam angle sensor?

its funny... yesterday i was going pull out old faithful...06 gsxr 1000 for some roll racing.
 well...
a dry rotted front tire.
locked up fuel pump.
 half clogged fuel filter.
 stuck thermostat.
dead battery.
and couldnt find 1 ram air intake.
i started digging around in the garage couldnt find it. so i missed the races. :-/

so i said F it.. ill start pulling stuff out till i find it. well 2 afternoons later and moving about 15 bikes out and back in. i still didnt find it. FML.. i guess ill get on ebay and order one so it will al of thr sudden reappear as soon as i hit buy it now

any way i was pretty upset that i didnt do anything fun with bikes so i took apart the sv motor to do some swapping

turns out it had adjustable camqs in it. lol.

i can have the machine shop at work drill the holes.

ill take some more pics tomo
