Fun Unusual Bike Facts
« on: December 03, 2018, 02:28:57 AM »

Hey Ho,

So just thought i would put this up here for some strange things that are interesting.

1972 CB500/4 - 2012 Hyosung GT250R = Rear Swingarm from the Hyo fits the CB500/4, you need to make up 2mm spacers to go on both sides of the swingarm mount or use a thick washer each side. But the swingarm bolt from the honda fits perfectly.

Interesting.

I'm sure I have seen somewhere a CB500/4 with a single sided swinging arm from a RVF400.

Seen one with a vfr swingarm and another with a ducati one.
Obvious most things can be made to fit, but as far as bolting up, add 2 washers, use original honda bolt and hyo swingarm/wheel/brake, bolted up.

Not really, More so the fact that with the swingarm, it could be way to wide, way to narrow, but in fact it is almost spot on.
Thats what i was pointing to.

I think there some wires in the swingarm, could you help me ???

Can't mate . You have patented all your lash up ideas and I would have to do a "proper" job if I did do it and there is no way you let me do that  ;D

oh unrelated poop note, the cb500/4 now has the gt250r front end and gt250r rear end, a matching pair on a honda frame.

Nope, its all just mockup at the moment. I need to fabricate the rear shock mounts on the swingarm and sort out the stem bearings for the front end, but its all bolt on the bike and rolling.
