That's weird as KR stated that on a you8tube video at a motorcycle show. I'll have to find it again. I think a dealer back in 2008 even told me that when I bought the GT250R.

I rented a GT250 in New Zealand, it had a 'box section' main frame, my GT650 has parallel twin tubes, so not the same frame.....

ive rebuild a 2010 gt650r and stripped a 2012 gt250r and ajc650's comment is spot on.
im just curious where it all started as its not the first time ive heard it

The 250 frame is valuable, the 650 frame is worthless.

I have a 650 frame I can't pay people to take, yet I'm after a 250 frame to buy and they're all 350+

That's actually incorrect.
People do want hyosung (650 anyway) especially when they are cheap which is normally the case.
I honestly believe the 650 EFI is a nice bike .
