« on: December 31, 2018, 04:31:45 AM »

Can't find anywhere what the EXIV stands for on the GD250's

Does anyone know?       Eternally 14  (XIV roman numbers)?

After tons of searching, I finally got an answer from KR America.

Good Day Charlie, I’m glad you asked. The EXIV is short for Excellent Activity. Wait, you don’t see it, well lets look a little closer, EXcellent actIVity Ah! There it is!. But, wait there is more. The EXIV 125 built in 1995 was the first DOHC single in Korea, not only was it the most powerful and quickest 125 in Korea it was the number one seller 20-30k unit in the first year. Making the EXIV 125 the most successful unit built by Hyosung. The  EXIV on the GD250R is our company’s homage to this most successful unit. There is are two other logos on the GD250R you may want to know about. On the front fender is the logo “EZ SUIT” this means that the unit is adjustable and will “Easily Suit” most anyone. The footrest are adjustable, there are high bars available and there is a taller seat [1” taller]. So you can make the GDR into what you want. The last Logo is under the windscreen, “KR”, this is the name of the parent company KR Motors. Hyosung motorcycle are made by KR Motors. In Korea they are not Hyosung but KR.

Hello,
You mentioned that there were higher bars available for the GD250R.
Where could I find them? In your opinion, would I need longer cables (Gear, brake, and accelerator)?
