Fuel, Spark, Compression. You've confirmed one (although the quality of spark matters too), now try the other two.

I'm using a separate tank with is gravity feeding the carb
New plugs got a nice good spark when placed on side of head for test
Havent got a compression testing kit so can't test at present minute
Thanks for help

You can place a finger over (not in) the spark plug hole and turn over the engine with the starter to feel if you are getting some decent compression (not accurate).

The timing could also be out of whack. Do you smell fuel coming out from cylinder? If not, could also be a carb issue.

Hope you get it going.

Any cracks in the inlet manifold? (They're made of rubber and can perish).

In fact, get eyes on all the rubber parts. If previous owner was spraying carb cleaner all over the place, dollars vs doughnuts one or more of the vacuum lines has become brittle and cracked.
