Rear shock issue help
« on: May 22, 2019, 03:57:41 PM »

I noticed I get a metal to metal noise when I hit a bump and feels like bike isn't liking bumps

So I looked at my shock and when I push down the springs are flexing and not staying straight and can see the shock isn't going down it bends with the spring

What non hyosung will fit my gt125r 2016 as they 160ish new

Has the spring been undone? Or someone fiddling with the preload and doesnt know what they are doing? A photo will speak a thousand words.

Most universal ones come with various size bushes for the  eye hole so any decent ones of ebay\amazon should fit, just measure the gap eye to eye of the stock one and get one to match.

I'm not so sure about that.

I know that the spring rate and valving matter a lot.

The suspension geometry can vary wildly from bike to bike, (i.e. the distance that the shock is mounted from the swinging arm pivot point) as well at the intended weight of the bike and rider as well.

I know that the suzuki bandit shock physically fits, but that it is so hard, as to be unusable.

Not sure how much you know about these bikes but if Cloud said it won't fit and only Hyosung shocks will fit , take her word for it .
