Skadamo! What did you do to me???

Hey, I'm trying to get some avatars availiable.  Nutmegchoi, you are probably doing it right I just need to fix whatever is wrong with my site config.

Like Mike said, you can upload images off the internet.
1)Click the "profile" link at the top of the site (you have to be logged in).  2)Then scroll to the bottom of the screen.
3)Then put the url of the picture you want to upload in the "Upload Avatar from a URL:" box.

I hope that works!!

I think we may have a language problem,

I think you mean to say
"Link" to the URL of the image on the net, not "upload" the image.

I will try and see if I can upload an image.

This one is linked from my www.seaies.com page, I could not get it to upload to this site?

I looked at the Avatars , none seemed to have much to do with Bikes?

I think I finally found a way to post pictures here, but I'm still having a hard time to post my avatar. There's always something.  [-(

This is my husband Seth. I taught him how to ride when we were in Korea about 7 years ago.(Let me get this straight. He wasn't a GI and I wasn't crazy about America. He taught English for the first year and played music another year in Seoul. I met him at a jazz festival. He is a jazz musician who plays Tenor Saxophone.) This is his first bike Honda 919. I love that bike.

This is my avatar that I've been trying to upload.

Sorry, guys. I went a little nuts with the photos. :P I was kinda over joyed that I can finally post some pictures.

Mike, yes linking would work best.  Still trying to get the avatar upload working.

Meanwhile you can "link" to your avatar this way...

1) click "profile"
2) paste your url (http://www.photodump.com/direct/nutmegchoi/choi811.jpg) into the "Link to Offsite avatar" as seen below...

Then just submit.  You should be golden.  Thanks for bearing with me guys.  I am working out bugs ](*,)  :)

It's working!
« Reply #15 on: November 21, 2004, 07:37:50 PM »

Everything's working! This is great!! :)

We still have 919. I have my SV650S and Seth has his 919. We've been wanting to get two bikes for each of us for a long time and finally got them last Spring.
It's very nice to ride side by side. I hate taking passenger seat on the bike. It's too scary. I don't know how other girls do that.

Seth loves his bike, but he's thinking about getting V-Strom650 instead. 919 doesn't give him enough wind protection and seat is kinda uncomfortable. He's an old man!(but only 32 though [-( ) I told him that if he gets V-Strom, I won't ride next to him. I'll be two cars behind!  V-Strom is a good bike, nothing against to it. BUT, compare to 919, it's sooooo ugly! [-X  Ahhhhhhh..... At the end, it's his bike. He can do whatever he wants and I'll deal with it. I'm not gonna let him know about this until very last moment though. :P

Now we have four vehicles. Two cars and two motorcycles.(I would love to get rid of the car, but living in Houston makes it almost impossible. It's not fun to ride when it's 100F outside with 98% humidity. We also have 6 months long Summer) No wonder we have to work all the time, huh? It is true that you don't own your bike, your bike owns you.

It's been raining almost a week or so. Whenever weather gets better, we are  planing to go to Austin for a bike trip. There're some nice road around Lake Travis. I might be able to post some pics from this trip. :)

Thanks again, guys. You've been so wonderful.

THIS GUYS NEEDS A BIKE SO BAD! I'LL BUY ONE FOR HIM IF I HAD MONEY.

:) He definitely needs a corbin seat at least #-o  Glad you got the avatar up.

I am gonna have to agree with your man on the vstrom.  I love that bike!!  Yeah, its ugly but it has great long distance potential and it goes off road baby!  Tell him to keep both.  Check out this site...

www.advrider.com These guys are all about riding gravel roads and dirt trails on street bikes.  Awsome site!!  You can see some of our recent rides in the "regional/central" section.

My first love is definitely the dirt so the vstrom sounds great.

Austin is cool.  I was there a few months ago on business.  ate a lot of smoke house bbq and checked out the capital building. :thumb:

I checked out the site. Site looks cool and seemed very useful. I'll pass onto my old man. Thank you so much, ska.

I know, I know.... I know that V-Strom is a good bike. We just can't affort to have three bikes, so 919 must go. I love that bike..... :(

This post is turning into nut, ska and mike's playground. Seems like we are the only three people who wrote something past week or so! :D

At least we know where the cool people are at.  Anyone out there?! :ears:

Unfortunately it may be a while before we get many users out here.  Keep checking in, I am trying to get the word out...

About the 919...it would stink to see that bike go.  won't he miss the power?  Thats the thing about bikes, its great to buy them but hard to let them go.

I wanna be rich
« Reply #19 on: November 22, 2004, 04:56:34 AM »

Never into money and wealth. I cherish things in my life more than sacrifice my time and people to trade with them.

But,(there's always but) when I see a fine ride. That's the moment I wish I had money. I wanna have enough money to have at least one track bike along with one street bike and a dirt bike.

There's love that I've been having since 10 years ago. Her name is Aprilia. Tiny lady but she's a tough cookie. With her two strokes, she can take you away.

I remember all the bikes I rode and I loved most of them. Whenever we have to let 919, that'll be a sad day.

Seth thinks my 650 has enough power for him. That's what he says now, we'll see what he says later. I don't know, those sweet v-tiwn with two brothers gonna be hard to forget.
