Hi bkasper_21

I would use 100/100 main jets and see if that works well for you, I shim the needles as high as I can, this should run a little rich, but that is what you are looking for. I use the stock idle jets on my three 250. <remove the 'O rings' in the emulsion tubes that hold the main jets>.

This runs the best in the a.m. when the air is dense.

what do you think is a better option for jetting for my 05 gt250 with straight through endcan:

- 92.5/95
- 95/95
- 95/97.5
- 97.5/97.5
- 100/100
i was thinkin that either 95/97.5 or 97.5/97.5 would suffice?
Also pilot stock 20 or upsize to 22.5 or larger? Thanks

If you don't change anything on the bike other than the muffler then I'd say this. All you need to do is raise the main jets up one size. So stock is 92.5 up front and 95 in back. Up it to 95 up front and 97.5 in back.

Just curious: when re-jetting, say to 100/100, what kind of gas mileage is being lost?

Nuff said.

I get between 50 to 75 MPG with the 100/100 jets on my GT250, how you ride and where is the main variable, also here in the USA we get all types of junk for fuel. I noticed Little change in MPG on the same runs.

My 2000 & 2004 Naked/duel Disk GT250
100/100 mains,
#20 idle jet,
De-Snorkeled air box,
straight through Exhaust,
50T rear sprocket,
160/60-17 rear tire,
Castrol GTX 10W-40
Cams Balanced
Vacuum on case

I am sure that many other things can work, but this is what I have and it works fo me.

mike you have my wish list done and ticked!! tell me something how did you get your cam balanced? do you think that could be a cause for the insane vibration i feel? did you get them balanced because you felt vibration or you happened to find it imbalanced?
