PM'd you, dont go thinking that your going to make this bike into a rocket though... it just wont happen...
You've changed the can... you should also look at changing the filter. Then look at removing the catalytic converter in the exhaust. After that get a garage to check the air/fuel ratio. Do the CDI mod.

There is also another possible restriction i'm looking at.. there is a black box thats part of the exhaust on the under belly of the bike... it looks like it may restrict things.

There's also the changing of sprokets but what you gain in aceleration you'll lose in top end and visa versa.

Think less about the speed and just enjoy the ride.

RESTRICTIONS

i second maddog

but on my travels around many forums and speaking to many owners of the GT125R, have found that some go quicker than others

whatever the mods

i have seen standard 1's that cant get over 70mph but others that will do about 80mph or more.
then there is 1's that have been modded a bit, like end can air filter etc... that still wont be any better.

i think that it is the way they are run in
do it right and they just nice
do it wrong like thrash it , and they are crap

I've heard a rumor that in some European countries i.e. Germany and Poland there seems to be some kind restriction on the carb. Accordingly to the bloke who owns one, bike was restricted to 80km/h which was later removed by mechanic at the dealer workshop.

I've no idea... I've just heard about it  I believe that bikes sold for UK are already de-restricted.

Off-topic:My bike doesnt seems to be restricted - I've managed to squeze nearly 120km/h out of mine.

ive managed 86mph with abit of wind behind me on my standard GT125R.
Its now modified with a straight through MTC trioval pipe and ive removed tht restriction wire (explained in the 250/650 forums).
It definately feels more responsive but i havent had chance (uk weather   ) to check its top end now.
I was slightly quicker than a cbr 125R (with a race pipe) when i was standard.

80mph+ I wish :(
Ive got sports end can, Iridium plugs, 15T sproket and run on super unleaded and although the acceleration is marginally bett it STILL only gets 60mph at a push. :dunno:

Currently Im running on V-Power and bike its pretty standard except MTC can. In that setup bike is easily reaching 72mph (115kmh) anything above that its just matter of luck and good winds

@Grendel I had same doubts as You regarding top speed. But after I've took it to open roads (SE London - Luton Airport - SE London) instead of every day city commuting I've discovered real potential of my GT125 :P

Im 169lbs and 5'7" tall
