GV650 exhaust mod
« on: April 05, 2006, 11:52:03 AM »

Hello!

Has anyone tried to modify the standard exhaust to get it sounding a bit more like a cruiser?

If so, what did you do, or what might be options to try out?

Thanks!!

As a matter of fact - I just got setup into business to make custom pipes for the GV650. I also have a modification to the stock muffler that does the trick too, plus drops nearly 6 lbs. from the muffler!

I'm new here - so I dont know if I can advertise in a thread or not - dont want to ruin my welcome... but I sell these pipes to a dealer who sells them for me. If its ok - I'll post more info - dont want to sound like a commercial...

Hi Dave, Glad you found us.

I can voutch for ACD! I have one of his first exhaust mods. It is a slip on design and sounds sweet! Oh and it looks good too! As a plus I go back and forth between stock and slip-on depending on mood  . He has done many mods and I highly recomend you check out his site along with Leroy's as they have basically done almost everything you can think of to our GV's.

Dave right now I have the quiet pipe on as I went for a peaceful ride. But I can get a sound bite this week if you need it.
